Venturi Astrolab, Inc. in Hawthorne, California is seeking a Sr. Harness Technician to lead fabrication, routing, and termination of complex wire harnesses for aerospace applications.

You will read blueprints, perform advanced crimping and soldering, and ensure IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 workmanship on prototype and flight hardware. You will mentor junior technicians, collaborate with engineers on design feedback, and uphold strict ESD and safety standards in a fast-paced R&D environment, reporting

Qualifications

• 3+ years in wire harness/cable assembly in aerospace or high‑reliability environments.
• Experience with MIL‑SPEC components and aerospace wiring practices.
• Proficient with crimping, soldering, and wire termination.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, route, and terminate complex wire harnesses per IPC‑620 Class 3.
• Read blueprints and schematics with minimal supervision.
• Perform crimping, soldering, splicing, and testing; ensure workmanship.
• Troubleshoot continuity issues and connector mismatches on prototype hardware.
• Lead or assist harness integration on testbeds and vehicles.
