Job summary

V2X is seeking a Welding Manager to establish, develop, and lead welding capability within our aerospace manufacturing operations. This role involves specifying and commissioning welding equipment, developing compliant welding procedures (AWS D17.1), hiring and training personnel, and ensuring adherence to quality and special-process standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years aerospace welding experience.
• Experience specifying, installing, or qualifying welding equipment.
• Knowledge of AWS D17.1, NADCAP, and aerospace materials.
• CWI or CWEng certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead stand-up of welding capability, selecting equipment and qualifications.
• Develop aerospace welding procedures and NADCAP readiness.
• Hire, train, and supervise welders and technicians; manage certifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ensure compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and efficiency.
• Support audits and customer/regulatory inspection activities.
