Job summary

Senior plc in Burbank, CA is seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to lead complex welding programs for precision metal products in aerospace applications. Under minimal supervision, you will study technical and cost aspects and develop repeatable weld processes.

The role requires high school plus two years college training in metallurgy, weld design, strength of materials and at least five years of welding experience. Competitive salary with benefits and 401K; Monday–Friday 1st shift.

Qualifications

• Education: High school with two years college training in metallurgy, weld design, strength of material.
• Experience: five years progressively responsible welding and development of welding processes for precision metal products.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Study and analyze the technical and cost aspects of welding problems before investigations or development programs.
• Experiment or coordinate activities with others to apply new welding tools, equipment, and processes.
• Develop detailed planning to achieve repeatable, sustainable weld quality compatible with single-piece flow production.
• Coordinate the activities of other employees and report progress to ensure on-schedule completion of welding research programs.
