Job summary

ES3 seeks a Welding Fabrication Specialist to support multiple programs at our MRDC in Clearfield, Utah. You will fit, cut, weld, and solder metal components from aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys, fabricating products according to blueprints and work orders.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in fabrication/welding, strong blueprint reading skills, and proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Trade school or apprenticeship in fabrication and/or welding preferred.
AWS D1.1, D1.2, and D1.6 certification is a plus.
5+ years of related experience; aerospace experience is a plus.
Proficient in MIG and TIG welding; reading blueprints with tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

Read aerospace engineering blueprints and work with tight tolerances and complex setups.
Fabricate, weld, and assemble conformal anode fixtures for plating operations.
Cut, position, and clamp components prior to welding; fit pieces into jigs and fixtures.
Weld using MIG, TIG or combinations; perform oxy-acetylene or plasma cutting as needed.
Inspect finished work with micrometers, calipers, and CMM; ensure conformance to specs.
