Job summary

AMETEK, Irvine, CA seeks a Welder with TIG welding and fabrication in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The role requires the ability to interpret aerospace drawings and certify to AWS D17.1 standards, with the 2nd shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm.

Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of welding experience, knowledge of workshop tools, and the ability to work with thin material across several weld groups.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in welding or related role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings for aerospace specs.
• Familiarity with general workshop tools and welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Certify to AWS D17.1 standards.
• Work with Groups IIB, IIIB, IV and VI.
• Weld with material thickness from .020” to .200”.
• Ensure top quality workmanship and efficiency.
• Maintain clean work area and document job paperwork.
• Follow supervisor directions to meet shipment commitments.
