Job summary

General Tool Co in Reading, OH, is seeking a Fabricator/Welder for aerospace and defense fabrication. You will weld to procedure, read blueprints, and work with a team to produce assemblies that meet strict standards.

Shifts are 10-hour with a 25% night differential; days offer 5–6 AM starts with flexible options. Requires 1–3 years MIG/TIG experience, a high school diploma or GED, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years MIG or TIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• High school diploma or GED and US citizenship required.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fabrication environment.
• Work safely in environments with welding fumes and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal components to fabricate parts and assemblies per procedures.
• Set up and operate shears, ironworkers, and cut-off saws to size material.
• Remove burrs and sharp edges; repair and reshape components as needed.
• Collaborate with supervisor and quality personnel; communicate clearly.
• Act proactively to identify next tasks and keep workflow moving.
