Job summary

ES3 in Clearfield, Utah seeks a Welding Fabrication Specialist to support multiple programs at the MRDC. You will fit, cut, weld, and solder metal components from aluminum, carbon steel, stainless, and other alloys per blueprints and work orders. Newly hired candidates will be qualified to AWS codes and standards.

The role requires accuracy with tight tolerances in an ISO9001/AS9100D environment; travel updates possible; strong attention to detail and ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school/apprenticeship in fabrication/welding completed.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints with tight tolerances.
• AWS D1.1/1.2/1.6 certification is a plus.
• 5+ years in aerospace fabrication/welding preferred.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding and material knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Read aerospace blueprints and work with tight tolerances.
• Fabricate, weld, and assemble conformal fixtures for plating operations.
• Cut, position, clamp, and fit components prior to welding.
• Weld using MIG/TIG and soldering as required.
• Inspect welds with precision measurement tools.
• Maintain ISO9001/AS9100D compliance and safety procedures.
• Travel for tank line installation when needed.
