Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a Wax Finisher to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for the final finishing of wax and wax/plastic patterns, repairing defects, and ensuring smooth blends to prepare patterns for production.

The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, strong teamwork, and willingness to work a 9:00 PM–5:30 AM shift Sunday through Thursday in an on-site facility. Competitive wages and a full benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution (Required)
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to effectively work AND communicate as part of a cell team

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the final finishing of wax and wax/plastic patterns. Remove flash, repair defects, and smooth blends
• Repair defects in pattern assemblies without altering contour or shape using wax as filler
• Dressing of pour cups
• Attach finished pattern to tree and pour cup to pattern gating
• Assemble plastic or wax cross arms and vent plugs when gating work is performed
• Data entry of finished piece into computer inventory system
• Preparation of cores (if working on IGT patterns)
• Blue sealing if working on plastic/wax patterns
