Job summary

Precision Castparts in Irvine, CA seeks a Level II Machinist to operate 2-5 axis CNC cells or standalone machines, perform basic setup, fixtures, and tool offsets, and load CNC programs. The role may focus on CNC, Turning, or Screw Machine operations to produce aerospace components.

You will read blueprints, measure parts, adjust controls, and perform in-process and final inspections to ensure tight tolerances and high quality.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, engineering drawings and specs to determine setup and operation requirements.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines and grinders to shape parts to spec.
• Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to tolerances and quality standards.
• Adjust machine controls and offsets to maintain dimensions within tolerances.
• Perform in-process and final inspections per aerospace quality requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and QA to troubleshoot and drive improvements.
• Maintain equipment and document procedures and results in compliance with ITAR.
