Inversion is seeking a Vehicle Software Engineering Intern to help develop software for next‑gen reentry vehicles, operating in space and on the ground. You will work with experienced engineers on production‑quality software, spanning flight software, ground systems, and automated testing infrastructures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recent graduate in a technical STEM field.
• Experience in software development through projects, teams, or internships.
• Proficient in C/C++, Python or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Own a well-scoped software project from requirements to deployment.
• Design, develop, and test software for spacecraft flight systems and ground ops.
• Integrate software with hardware, simulations, and existing software systems.
• Write automated tests and contribute to software verification (unit/SIL/HIL/PIL).
• Collaborate with flight software, avionics, and simulation teams to solve problems.
• Participate in design reviews, debugging, and integration testing.
• Document designs, results, and software functionality; present to the team.
