Job summary

Inversion is seeking a Vehicle Software Engineering Intern to help develop software for our next-generation reentry vehicles, operating in space and on the ground, under guidance of experienced flight and ground software engineers.

You will own a meaningful project from requirements through deployment, touching flight software, ground systems, or testing infrastructure, with hands-on production-quality code.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed degree in a technical field (CS/EE/Robotics).
• Experience with software development in teams or open-source projects.
• Proficiency in at least one language such as C/C++ or Python.

Responsibilities

• Own a scoped software project from requirements to deployment.
• Design, develop, and test software for flight or ground systems.
• Integrate software with hardware, simulations, or test infrastructure.
• Write automated tests and contribute to verification techniques (SIL/HIL/PIL).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical problems.
• Participate in reviews, debugging, and integration testing.
• Document designs, results, and functionality; present project outcomes.
