Qualifications

• Strong 2D design experience; able to create detailed layouts and drawings from sketches, concepts, and specs.
• AutoCAD experience required.
• Understands design for manufacturing (DFM) using efficient methods to produce kits.
• Familiar with laser cutting, waterjet cutting, CNC machining, and additive manufacturing.
• Strong Excel proficiency for analyzing and manipulating data.
• Strong team-oriented work ethic and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and organize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create dimensional, installation, and complex design drawings from concept to completion.
• Design tool layouts and assemblies within tool kits, toolboxes, and related storage systems.
• Develop drawings representing tool placement, fit, and functionality within custom tool control systems.
• Update existing drawings with design changes and improve models to meet manufacturing standards.
• Revise and maintain project drawings for consistency and accuracy on the floor.
• Follow drawing revision guidelines to keep drawings current and accurate.
