Job summary

DP Professionals (DPP) seeks a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer II/III for an onsite role in Merritt Island, FL. You will design tooling, develop solutions for production flow, and lead tooling projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring quality and safety in aerospace tooling.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Engineering, 3+ years of manufacturing experience, and hands-on CAD/PD M proficiency with Creo and Windchill.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Experience with tooling design, fabrication, and procurement.
CAD-based design software experience for modeling and drafting.
Experience with Creo Parametric and Windchill CAD/PDM systems.
Solid understanding of mechanical design and GD&T basics.
Three+ years of direct manufacturing experience.
U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Design, create, and release CAD models and drawings for simple tooling per ASME Y14.5.
Solve design challenges: fixtures, material-handling equipment, test fixtures, weldments.
Manage tooling projects from concept through commissioning, including procurement and testing.
Set procurement/fabrication priorities and communicate them to the team.
Define and support repair and rework activities.
Perform root cause analyses for nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
Develop material-handling and packaging requirements to protect hardware.
Collaborate with designers and engineers to optimize safety, cost, quality, and delivery.
