Job summary

Saab West Lafayette is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to ensure proper tooling supply and drive tooling improvements in a manufacturing setting. You will partner with tooling and production teams to optimize tooling use and testing.

The role requires an Associate Degree in STEM or 2+ years of relevant experience, with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. Starting pay up to $29 per hour is offered along with benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in STEM or 2+ years of related work experience.
• Experience with tooling selection and application in manufacturing.
• Understanding of GD&T and aerospace quality standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit and maintain proper tools within each assembly area.
• Support tooling studies and applications; perform performance testing.
• Investigate tooling issues and propose new tooling solutions.
• Ensure tooling compliance to Aerospace standards; assist with safe tool use.
