Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Tooling Project Engineer to lead end-to-end aerospace tooling projects. You will guide concepts through detailed design, manufacturing, inspection, testing, delivery, and final acceptance, working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on-site in Mobile, AL.

This hands-on role requires strong collaboration across engineering, production, and supply chain, with accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance in a dynamic aerospace

Qualifications

• Experience in tooling, manufacturing engineering, machining, or aerospace manufacturing environments.
• Ability to bridge engineering and production teams for effective collaboration.
• Understanding of DFM principles applied to tooling and aerospace components.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD for design support.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills in technical contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead tooling project execution from scope to closure with cost, schedule, and quality oversight.
• Translate requirements into robust tooling solutions for aerospace manufacturing.
• Contribute to technical tenders, proposals, or bids for projects.
• Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers and clients.
• Ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and QHSE during on-site work.
