Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a tooling and manufacturing specialist for aerospace applications. You will drive tooling development from concept through production, manage cost estimates, schedules, and supplier integration, and lead program management activities.

Candidates should have APQP/AS9145 familiarity, knowledge of ISO9000/AS9100, and hands-on experience with aluminium forming and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Experience with tooling from concept to production and cost estimation.
• Ability to identify technical problems and offer solutions.
• Operates with minimal supervision in a complex environment.
• Experience with CNC/Spin Forming/Metal Fabrication in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment.
• Experience in tool design.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.
• Fabrication, machining, welding and assembly experience.
• Root cause methodologies experience.
• Six Sigma green belt certification or training.
• Experience with auditing.
• Liaison engineering experience.
• Aerospace experience is strongly desired.
• Customer facing experience.
• Ability to use test equipment and inspection equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of industry standards, i.e ASME Y14.5
• Responsible for the implementation of tooling, from original concept through to production
• Accountable for tooling development, tool fabrication quotes, tooling configuration changes that involve cost estimation, schedule coordination, and implementation with tooling supplier
• Project / Program Management
• Familiarity with AS9145 APQP process or equivalent
• Working knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000
• Experience with Aluminium Metal forming processes – Forming, Heat Treat, Artificial Ageing
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers
