Saab West Lafayette is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift to strengthen tooling and manufacturing technology. You will ensure tooling is available, drive improvements, manage inventory and serve as the liaison between tooling engineering and production in West Lafayette.

Responsibilities include auditing tools, supporting tooling studies, testing tooling performance, and resolving tooling issues while upholding Saab values and safety standards.

Competenze

• Associate Degree in STEM or 2+ years comparable work experience.
• 2+ years of technical/assembly in aircraft manufacturing is preferred.
• Tooling selection / application experience.
• Basic tooling design.
• Troubleshooting tooling issues with countermeasures.
• Tooling performance testing and reporting.
• Proficiency with computer reporting (Excel).
• Ability to operate machining and measurement equipment.
• Understanding aerospace quality regulations is a plus.
• Knowledge of GD&T.

• Investigate and resolve tooling issues
• Propose new tooling solutions/ designs and contribute to installation of new tooling capital projects
