The role links Manufacturing Engineering with production, focuses on Lean principles, and drives improvements in process planning, layouts, and cycle times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline is required.
• 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Driven, innovative and takes initiative without being asked.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functional areas within an operation.
• Able to work extended or flexible schedule to support the business.
• Able to work well independently, as well as in a team setting.
• Preferred: Experience with Aerostructures.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of production systems and working methods to reduce costs while maintaining function and quality.
• Contribute to development of efficient production systems and Lean-based assembly lines.
• Drive improved process planning for current and new products.
• Standardize assembly practices and cycle times.
• Model short- and long-term production strategy for rate changes and headcount.
• Develop production flows and layouts.
• Drive continuous improvement for efficient production.

• Handle other project tasks as assigned.
