Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• At least 3 years in design, aerospace machining, or related field.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in CAD; CATIA preferred.
• Strong math, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate job feasibility and support quoting for potential work
• Design tooling and fixtures, including layup tools, mill fixtures, lifting fixtures, and proof load fixtures
• Collaborate with customers to optimize designs and meet requirements
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for internal and customer use
• Modify customer designs to improve manufacturability and resolve interferences
• Develop documentation such as work instructions and extraction data
• Provide technical support to toolmakers and production teams
• Review work to ensure quality and alignment with project goals
• Troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues
• Communicate project updates with internal teams and customers
• Participate in meetings to support continuous improvement
• Maintain compliance with quality systems
• Ensure a safe, clean, organized work environment
