Responsibilities

• Generate and revise tooling process manuals.
• Coordinate tool crib personnel daily activities.
• Assist personnel with tool questions.
• Assist assembly with tool usage.
• Research and determine approve tooling for new programs.
• Create purchase requisitions.
• Track tool locations.
• Maintain assemblers' tool kits.
• Research and recommend calibration verifications and maintenance requirements for new tools.
• Follow manufacturers' calibration requirements / procedures for tools.
• Follow manufacturers' preventative maintenance procedures for new tools.
• Perform monthly tool and equipment calibration and maintenance verifications.
• Perform minor tool and equipment repairs.
• Coordinate with the Planning Manager new or replacement tools as needed.
• Serve as a liaison between production, engineering, and planning departments for tool repair and maintenance.
• Plan ahead prior to sending the calibration verifications equipment off site for calibrations.
• Maintain locations for Harness Assembly Drawings.
• Coordinate the manufacture and installation of jigs on Harness Assembly Drawing boards.
• Plot and verify Harness Assembly Drawings are plotted to scale.
