Job summary

Coastal Machine & Supply, Inc. is seeking a Tool Crib Manager to establish centralized control over tooling, gage control, and workholding. You will build a replicable crib, own tool transactions in ProShop, and coordinate calibration retention while collaborating with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.

Qualifications

• Machining background to identify tools, holders, and workholding by type and application.
• Demonstrated inventory control experience in manufacturing, including min/max.
• Working proficiency with an ERP system for inventory transactions.
• Precision measurement with micrometers/calipers/indicators/gage blocks.
• Documented process discipline and auditable records.
• U.S. Person status.

Responsibilities

• Establishes tool crib from initial state with layout, access, storage, and conventions.
• Builds a replicable crib model and documents procedures for future sites.
• Owns job-level issue/return of perishable tooling in ProShop.
• Maintains tooling transaction data for cost per job and reconciles variances.
• Performs periodic physical inventory reconciliation with root-cause analysis.
• Trains floor on process and drives adoption; escalates non-compliance.
• Establishes min/max levels and coordinates with Purchasing on replenishment.
• Develops tool assemblies and maintains the assembly library.
• Controls gage issue/return and coordinates external calibration services.
• Maintains fixture control, records location, and supports standardization.
• Adheres to scope exclusions and documents procedures for future improvements.
