Job summary

Geater Machining & Manufacturing, based in Independence, IA, is seeking a Machining Tool Crib Attendant to manage tools, records, and tooling orders for aerospace and high-tech manufacturing.

You will issue, preset, and track tools, maintain perpetual inventory, and ensure smooth operation across machining centers. The role offers growth and a strong team culture in a full-time setting.

Qualifications

• Record of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials and equipment.
• Allocate and determine specific jobs for each work center and preset the tools for the job.
• Maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
• Prepare periodic inventory or perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
• Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment and requisition stock to replenish inventory.
• Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or with a micrometer.
• Initiate purchase orders for replacement/repair items.
