Job summary

CPP Corporation in Albany, OR is seeking a TIG Welder I to join our aerospace titanium casting team. The role welds in a closed chamber under argon to repair castings, following procedures and using precision measurement tools. Strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of vocational program or 1–2 years TIG welding experience.
• Must pass welding test within 4–6 weeks of starting.
• Annual eye exam required.
• Ability to bend, lift, push and pull with or without accommodations.
• Basic high-school math and reading/understanding measurements.
• HS diploma or GED required; relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Titanium TIG welding in a chamber to repair castings.
• Use calipers and profile templates to repair castings.
• Collaborate on rework plans to meet specifications.
• Shape tungsten with a grinder.
• Load and unload castings from the chamber.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
