Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp in Albany, OR seeks an experienced TIG welder to work on titanium aerospace castings in an argon chamber, ensuring precision and adherence to aerospace specs.

The role requires titanium TIG welding experience, a vocational welding background or 1+ year experience, ability to pass tests and eye exam, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lb. Swing shift (3:30 PM–2:15 AM) with a $1.00/hour differential and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal vocational welding program or more than one year of TIG welding experience.
• Prior titanium TIG welding experience required.
• Ability to pass a welding test within four weeks of starting employment.
• Ability to pass an annual eye examination.
• Basic high-school level math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to use small, precision tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on titanium castings inside an argon-atmosphere chamber.
• Repair castings according to established procedures and specifications.
• Use precision tools to accurately complete repairs.
• Collaborate with your team to develop and execute rework plans.
• Load and unload castings from the welding chamber.
• Maintain welding equipment and your work area in a clean, safe condition.
• Follow all procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
