Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE MRO division is seeking a TIG Welder in Ohio. The ideal candidate will join a team to support process improvements and cost reduction while welding thin material.

Responsibilities include working from drawings, templates, and patterns, maintaining safety, and complying with FAA/DOT regulations. Hours are 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Fri-Sun; frequent lifting up to 40 lbs; full-time position with growth opportunities at Barnes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of TIG welding experience in production or repair shop, aerospace preferred.
• Experience welding exotic metals.
• Ability to read and interpret operation sheets and follow instructions.
• Strong math skills for fractional/decimal calculations.
• English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Unrestricted work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Weld aircraft components ranging from .015–.120 inch thickness.
• Read from drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
• Work is subject to process and final inspection and testing.
• Complete necessary paperwork to track parts through process.
• Perform repetitive welding operations on standard weldments following prescribed methods.
• Performs other duties as required.
