Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE MRO division is seeking a TIG Welder to join our production team. You will weld aircraft components on thin material (.015 - .120 inch) from drawings, templates, and patterns, and participate in process improvements to grow the business and drive cost reduction.

This safety sensitive role requires 3+ years of TIG welding experience in aerospace, the ability to read operation sheets, lift up to 40 lbs, and unrestricted work authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years TIG welding in aerospace production or repair.
• Experience welding exotic metals is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions.
• Ability to use math for fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Must communicate in English with team and supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Weld aircraft component parts ranging in thickness from .015 - .120 inch.
• Work from drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
• Complete process inspections and final testing.
• Complete paperwork to track parts through the process.
• Perform repetitive welding operations on standard weldments.
