Barnes Group in its Barnes Aerospace MRO division is seeking a TIG Welder to join our team in the United States. The ideal candidate will weld thin material and contribute to process improvements in a safety-conscious environment.

This safety-sensitive role requires 3+ years of TIG welding experience in aerospace, ability to read operation sheets, and unrestricted U.S. work authorization. High school diploma or equivalent and technical training preferred; lifting up to 40 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of TIG welding in a production or repair shop, preferably aerospace.
• Experience welding exotic metals.
• Able to read and interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions.
• Math skills to add, subtract, multiply or divide with fractions/decimals/percentages.
• English communication with coworkers and supervision.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs occasionally.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Weld aircraft component parts ranging from .015" to .120" thick.
• Work from part drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns.
• Subject to process and final inspection and testing.
• Complete paperwork to track parts through process.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Perform repetitive welding operations on standard weldments following prescribed.
