Jobot in California is seeking a motivated 2nd shift Machine Operator Trainee to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The role involves learning thread rolling operations to produce precision metal components.

Hours are 2:30PM-1:00AM on the 2nd shift, with two Saturdays per month and a Monday–Friday work week. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and can read blueprints, perform basic math, and pay close attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior manufacturing or machine operator experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions.
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate thread rolling machines and related production equipment.
• Experience working with fasteners, nuts, bolts, and hand tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, and microscopes to verify part quality.
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure product compliance.
• Monitor machine performance and report equipment or safety concerns promptly.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow quality management procedures, safety standards, and production requirements.
• Accurately complete production records and manufacturing transactions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain workplace organization standards.
