Job summary

Component Repair Technologies is seeking an entry level Thermal Spray Set-Up Technician to support turbine engine component maintenance. You will prepare parts for dimensional restoration, configure equipment, apply masking, and perform grit blasting under established procedures.

The role includes hands-on in-house training and work in a safety-focused environment within our Mentor, OH facility. Prior shop exposure and strong communication will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• High school or technical school graduate or equivalent.
• Reading and interpreting shop drawings or the demonstrated ability to learn preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting displaying attention to detail and technical aptitude helpful.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Clean, mask and grit blast components with required surface preparation standards.
• Review router and operational sketches to identify the work to be performed.
• Grit blast all required areas to the appropriate surface finish, specified in the work instructions, in a booth while wearing appropriate safety gear.
• Inspect work for completion and quality for oil, residue or oxidation to ensure proper adhesion during the thermal spray application process.
