Job summary

The Beyond New Horizons internship program offers a 12-week full-time summer opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing engineering or computer science degrees. You will be paired with experienced engineers and scientists who mentor you while you perform real engineering tasks and contribute to Air Force missions.

You will present a briefing to management outlining your summer learnings and accomplishments, and you will rotate through multiple tasks to gain exposure to AEDC

Qualifications

Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer, Computer Science/Software, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering
Sophomore status (45 credit hours) completed by May 2027
Minimum GPA of 2.75
Ability to work 40 hours each week for 12 weeks May–August; full-time temporary position; no vacation accrual

Responsibilities

Assist engineers and scientists on real engineering/technical tasks
Work alongside mentors and participate in diverse test operations projects
Prepare and present a briefing to management detailing summer learnings and accomplishments
