Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) offers a 12-week full-time summer internship for students pursuing engineering or computer science degrees. You will be paired with experienced engineers/scientists as mentors to perform real engineering work and gain valuable field experience while supporting Air Force and contractor missions.

You will complete multiple tasks across AEDC test operations and present a briefing to management summarizing what you learned and accomplished during the summer.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a degree in one of the listed engineering disciplines.
• Sophomore status (45 credit hours) completed by May 2027 with a minimum GPA of 2.75.
• Ability to travel between multiple AEDC facilities and maintain security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Gain real engineering/technical experience under mentor supervision during the 12-week program.
• Work on multiple tasks across test operations and supporting mechanical/electrical systems.
• Present a briefing to management detailing learnings and accomplishments at the end of the internship.
