Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation invites you to return to the same role you interned in 2026. This paid full-time 10-week summer internship offers assignments across interdisciplinary teams in ongoing research and technical programs with academic collaboration.

Training and mentorship are provided, with a focus on aerospace engineering, cyber, and systems work. Locations include El Segundo, CA; Greenbelt, MD; Chantilly, VA; Crystal City, VA and other Aerospace sites.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber/Cyber Security, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Intelligence Studies, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials, Physics, Software Engineering, and Systems Engineering, Business, Communications, Accounting or related disciplines.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and return to a degree program after completion.
• 2026 internship at The Aerospace Corporation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Participate with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
• Apply standard techniques and procedures to carry out prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.
• Training and mentorship will be provided.
• Assignments vary depending on the hiring organization, but you are applying to the same role as your 2026 internship.
