Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) seeks an Engineering Technician/Intern for Arnold AFB, TN. This 12-week, full-time summer program pairs undergraduates and graduate students with experienced engineers and scientists who mentor you on real hardware systems and test operations.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a degree in one of the listed disciplines.
Sophomore status (45 credit hours) completed by May 2027.
Minimum GPA of 2.75.
Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks (May–Aug).
Able to travel between multiple facilities within the complex.

Responsibilities

Engage in real engineering/technical assignments under mentor guidance.
Assist with installation, operation, sustainment, and troubleshooting of test cell equipment and systems.
Contribute to test operations and data collection for ground test facilities.
Prepare and present a briefing to management detailing learning and accomplishments.
Work as part of a team with mechanical and electrical engineers to support test activities.
