Technology Service Corporation (TSC) is seeking an Aerospace Test Engineer to support work at the Naval Research Laboratory. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact high‑priority Navy missions.
The Aerospace Engineer is responsible for high‑speed wind tunnel testing and data analysis. Responsibilities include preparing, executing, and analyzing experimental aerodynamic test campaigns to validate the performance of advanced aerospace vehicles and missile systems. The engineer will collaborate with design teams to translate aerodynamic objectives into concrete test procedures and safely operate wind tunnel facility hardware.
Responsibilities also involve assembling and instrumenting complex sub‑scale models with strain‑gage balances, pressure scanners, and flow‑visualization sensors, developing automated data acquisition routines, monitoring real‑time data quality during active wind tunnel runs, and reducing and analyzing large experimental datasets. Documentation of aerodynamic coefficients is required to validate computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models.
In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is $100,000 – $142,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and may include equity or incentive compensation as part of the total rewards package.
