Job summary

Unison is seeking a Senior Technician to support engineering and manufacturing teams in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aerospace components and systems. This role demands high hands-on expertise, precision, and the ability to work independently or in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in aviation/aerospace, strong safety knowledge, and experience leading or mentoring others. Expect travel to testing sites and customer facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution.
• 5+ years of experience in Aviation, Aerospace, space, or automotive industry in a technical, hands-on capacity.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mentor or leadership role.
• 5+ years’ technical experience in either mechanical or electrical assembly, integration, and/or test.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering to create test procedures, plans, and schedule.
• Read and interpret engineering models, drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, specifications, and testing requirements.
• Lead diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and fluid assemblies from component to system level.
• Perform assembly and checkouts on ground support equipment related to all aerospace and spacecraft operations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, systems, quality, and design engineers to develop and document activities such as assembly work instructions and SOPs.
• Direct root cause analysis and implement corrective action.
• Available to travel to testing sites, customer facilities, and events.
