Job summary

Bascom Hunter Technologies is seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician / Assembly Intern to support the assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace and defense products. You will work closely with engineers on mechanical and electrical assembly, prototype builds, and testing across multiple programs.

The role offers full-time and part-time internship schedules, with summer emphasis on full-time work and potential for continuation based on business needs and intern availability.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a technical degree, certificate, or equivalent in engineering technology, electronics, manufacturing, mechanical technology, or related field.
• Hands-on mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical work interest and ability to learn tools and measurement equipment.
• Able to read and follow technical instructions and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on mechanical and electromechanical assembly of components, subassemblies, and systems.
• Assemble products and prototypes using drawings, work instructions, schematics, and other documentation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measurement equipment safely and effectively.
• Install and assemble mechanical hardware, electronic components, wiring, connectors, fasteners, and related parts.
• Support cable, harness, and connector assembly as applicable.
• Assist engineers with prototype builds, product integration, and testing.
• Support setup and execution of functional, environmental, and other testing.
