Job summary

RTX is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation, work instructions, and maintenance guidance. The role requires collaborating with assembly operators, shop floor leads, production supervisors, engineers and QA teams to ensure precise and usable documentation.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical process documentation for production processes, procedures, work instructions, and operator maintenance documents.
• Support adherence to Change Control Board processes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in continuous improvement to standardize documentation practices.
• Maintain consistency in format, terminology and document structure.
• Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
