Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a systems engineer to support the New Glenn program, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle. You will coordinate across subsystems, applying rigorous systems engineering practices to drive design decisions and ensure traceability of requirements and verifications.

Collaborating with multi‑discipline teams, you will help develop SE processes, participate in gated reviews, and build health metrics to monitor program health and delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial engineering.
• 2+ years applying system engineering principles across design lifecycle.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and diagrams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced degree in Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of launch vehicle design and requirements preferred.
• Experience with electro-mechanical hardware qualification preferred.
• System development/integration experience, preferably with aerospace hardware.
• Advanced systems engineering practices preferred.
• Experience with verification planning preferred.
• Experience with DOORS Next Gen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development and operations of New Glenn heavy-lift launch vehicle.
• Work across subsystems and support integrated solutions.
• Apply system engineering practices across subject areas.
• Support development of SE processes for the program.
• Ensure consistent implementations across the program.
• Serve in a system integration capacity working with multi-discipline teams.
• Support requirements definition, validation, and verification at all levels of the program.
• Ensure the alignment and consistent implementation of system engineering practices.
• Participate in gated reviews.
• Develop health metrics to support insight into program health and tracking.
