Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Systems/Software Engineer to design, develop, and test flight management software for military helicopters and aircraft as part of CAAS/Flight 2 Flight Management Solutions.

You will work with Systems and Software engineers, grow knowledge of Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems, and apply leadership and communication in a fast-paced environment. This onsite role offers relocation support and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• STEM degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 2+ years of experience in a Systems role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems used in military helicopters and planes.
• Grow knowledge of Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.
• Demonstrate leadership, communication, and coordination in a fast-paced environment with quality products.
• Travel domestically and internationally <10% as needed.
