Job summary

RTX (Collins Aerospace) in Cedar Rapids is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer 1 to design and sustain digital hardware for avionics products. The role will involve collaboration across systems, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.

You will learn through access to Collins Aerospace communities of practice, exposure to cutting-edge technology, and involvement in the hardware development lifecycle from requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, verify, support, and troubleshoot digital hardware for avionics products using electrical engineering principles.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Environmental Effects Engineering, Manufacturing/Operations, and DTC staff to meet requirements across the product lifecycle.
• Work on designs that include digital logic (ASIC/FPGA/CPLD), processors, and memory technologies.
• Support current production issues as needed.
