Job summary

Hytek Finishes is hiring an Abrasive Blast Operator for the 3rd shift in Kent, WA, onsite. The role performs blasting to prepare parts for finishes, with training on the 1st shift and a comprehensive benefits package.

The position requires reading and following instructions, strict attendance, PPE use, and compliance with FAA-like testing and safety procedures. This is a full-time, non-exempt opportunity with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors.
• Required to participate in annual Hearing Conservation testing and Eye Exams.
• Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE based upon requirements in working area.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Shot Peen Inspectors to complete work and prioritize tasks for On-Time delivery.
• Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced operators; apply maskants as required.
• Prepare parts prior to operations; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
• Legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
• General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
• Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
• Be familiar with engineering drawing notations
• Perform other duties as assigned.
