Job summary

Hytek Finishes Co. is seeking an Abrasive Blast Operator for the 3rd shift in Kent, WA. This full-time, onsite role involves operating blast equipment to surface finish parts, following drawings and process instructions, and ensuring quality through self-verification and QA checks.

Qualifications

• Must maintain regular and dependable attendance.
• Ability to read/write/communicate in English.
• Willing to participate in hearing conservation testing and eye exams.
• Must wear PPE including safety glasses and hearing protection.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Operate abrasive blasting equipment to prepare surfaces.
• Follow technique cards, orders, drawings, and masking as required.
• Prepare parts with proper tooling and fixtures.
• Sign off work and conduct self-verification inspections.
• Review paperwork and report errors to supervisor/QA.
• Understand pre/post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Comply with QA and rework procedures.
• Familiar with engineering drawing notations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
