Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA seeks a Supply Chain Manager in Cheshire, CT to lead procurement, delivery assurance, and supplier quality for aerospace programs. You will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and ensure AS9100 compliance across a global supplier base.

You will lead a cross-functional team, collaborate with engineering, production, and quality, and drive Lean/Six Sigma improvements to reduce lead times and costs. Domestic travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Knowledge of AS9100, FAA/EASA regulations is required.
• Experience managing global supplier networks and performance-based relationships.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Proficient in SAP or Oracle ERP and MS Office; data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Procurement: develop sourcing strategies for cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
• Procurement: negotiate long-term supplier agreements and terms.
• Procurement: collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality to align procurement with program needs.
• Procurement: identify and qualify new suppliers to support growth and risk mitigation.
• Delivery Assurance: drive on-time delivery performance with planning and escalation processes.
• Delivery Assurance: implement supplier capacity and capability assessments to mitigate risk.
• Delivery Assurance: resolve delivery delays and expedite critical materials.
• Delivery Assurance: use KPIs/dashboards to monitor performance and report to leadership.
• Delivery Assurance: implement a supplier portal and ensure deliveries meet orders.
