Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA in Cheshire, CT, seeks a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead the supplier quality program, drive PPAP/FAI/KPC processes, and monitor supplier performance. You will collaborate with procurement and technical teams to define specifications and ensure compliance.

The role requires strong quality methods knowledge, AS9100/ISO-9000 familiarity, and ability to travel up to 30% for supplier visits. Aerospace experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Person and able to work with ITAR data.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment; aerospace preferred.
• 3+ years of Quality experience with supplier initiatives.
• 3+ years of supplier quality auditing experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Supplier Quality focal point for PPAP, FAI, and KPC execution to prevent issues from impacting production and delivery.
• Analyze supplier performance data to determine opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate supplier quality records, including audits, certifications and corrective actions.
• Work with Procurement to define a Supplier Rating program and establish key quality metrics.
• Apply understanding of product specifications, flow-down documents, drawings and regulatory requirements.
• Lead Supplier Quality Assurance using the Supplier Rating Program and metrics.
• Enhance the Approved Supplier Listing (ASL) database for supplier control and audits.
• Issue, monitor, and maintain the Supplier Corrective Action database.
• Resolve problems with RCCA tools with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Sourcing to select and manage suppliers.
• Develop supplier quality policies and procedures.
• Perform supplier capability and risk assessments.
• Benchmark world-class suppliers to improve the current base.
• Perform other related duties as required.
