Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer in Cheshire, CT. You will drive the Supplier Quality Program, oversee audits, ratings, RCCA, and supplier performance to assure quality across the supply chain.

The role requires a engineering degree and 5+ years in manufacturing with aerospace experience, plus 3+ years in supplier quality auditing. US Person for ITAR data is required. Travel up to 30% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years in manufacturing; aerospace preferred.
• 3+ years of supplier quality auditing experience.
• 3+ years of quality initiatives in supplier context.
• U.S. Person for ITAR data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary supplier quality focal point for PPAP, FAI, and KPC execution.
• Analyze supplier performance data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Maintain supplier quality records (audits, certifications, corrective actions).
• Work with Procurement to define a Supplier Rating program and key metrics.
• Apply knowledge of drawings, procedures, and regulatory requirements to products and suppliers.
• Lead Supplier Quality Assurance program using rating metrics and data.
• Enhance Approved Supplier Listing database for audit/compliance control.
• Issue and monitor Supplier Corrective Action database.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve problems using RCCA.
• Participate with Sourcing to select and manage assigned suppliers.
• Develop supplier quality policies and procedures.
• Perform supplier capability and risk assessments.
• Benchmark world-class suppliers for base and future sourcing.
• Perform other related duties as required.
