Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Manager Supply Chain 1 to lead a cross-functional team across procurement to delivery on our 1st shift (Mon-Thurs, 5:00am-3:30pm) onsite at Palmdale Center of Excellence.

The role focuses on achieving direct budget targets, developing and enforcing work instructions, and delivering KPI-driven improvements in productivity, quality, and cost efficiency while upholding Northrop Grumman values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in Management, Supply Chain, Program/Project Management, Manufacturing, Operations, or Business Management, OR a Master's Degree with 2 years of experience in Management, Supply Chain, Program/Project Management, Manufacturing, Operations, or Business Management
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance (or higher) to apply/start
• Ability to obtain/maintain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of non-exempt employees, who are responsible for GSC functions across various programs from procurement to delivery
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehousing, Traffic, Procurement, etc.
• Responsible for meeting direct budget targets, writing/updating work instructions, providing performance metrics, and making recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
• Leads a team that has the mission statement to support all Production goals and objectives through the accurate tracking, receiving, shipping with a strong focus on safety and cost efficiency
• Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Train and guide employees in keeping with all Northrop Grumman Values & Leader Characteristics
• Collaborate with various programs on projects related to material receipt, storage, issue, and transportation
• Lead, coordinate, and collaborate with internal and external customers, including local, state, federal, and international agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in support of Aeronautics Systems Sector programs
• Directs team activities associated with program transportation, including major deliveries (classified and unclassified), and specialty movements as they relate to transportability
