Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA seeks a Supply Chain Operations Coordinator (Level 2/3) to join the Aeronautics Systems sector. The role is onsite with a 4/10 schedule and requires coordinating with manufacturing, engineering, and shipping to meet contractual dates.

The position emphasizes SAP/MES transactions, inventory control, and material handling skills, with a focus on ensuring smooth production flow and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Ability to work in MS 365, Excel, Word, Power Point.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain and maintain equipment licensing including but not limited to electric carts, forklift, reachlift.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S Government Secret Clearance and a Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Manufacturing to assist in prioritizing WIP to ensure contractual schedule dates are met.
• Coordinate with other shop support teams to remove production constraints.
• Perform SAP and MES transactions to release work orders and manage inventory.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Assist in addressing shortages to meet schedules.
• Obtain ECDs from Manufacturing based on part criticality.
• Estimate and log production rate and lead times to meet shipping dates.
• Obtain and maintain equipment licenses for forklifts and related tools.
• Load/unload large tooling and support manufacturing.
