Job summary

Professional Search Group is partnering with a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer in Huntington Beach, CA, to fill a Supply Chain Manager role. This leader will oversee procurement, materials planning, logistics, and shipping, while developing the team and driving end-to-end supply chain performance.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership, strong negotiation skills, and experience in aerospace/defense.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing.
Supervisory or team-leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
Aerospace/defense industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage daily supply chain operations for the California facility, including procurement, planning, logistics, and shipping/receiving.
Lead, coach, and develop managers, purchasers, and planners, fostering accountability and execution.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term supplier agreements; drive cost reductions.
Align materials planning with production schedules to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
Collaborate across functions to resolve supply constraints and improve end-to-end performance.
Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
