Job summary

Professional Search Group in Huntington Beach, CA is representing a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer in search of a Supply Chain Manager. This role leads day-to-day supply chain operations including procurement, planning, logistics, and compliance.

You will develop a team of purchasing clerks, planners, and a Shipping/Receiving Manager, drive cost control and supplier performance, and coordinate with Texas as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Aerospace/defense industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily supply chain operations for the California facility, including procurement, materials planning, logistics, and shipping/receiving.
• Lead and develop managers, purchasing clerks, planners, and other team members.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term supplier agreements; drive supplier performance and cost reductions.
• Align materials planning and production schedules with customer requirements to minimize shortages and disruptions.
• Provide purchasing support for the Texas operation when needed.
• Oversee inbound/outbound transportation and warehouse activities to ensure compliance and service levels.
