Job summary

Advanced Manufacturing Company of America seeks a Senior Supply Chain Engineer to own BOM costing, analyze suppliers, and translate drawings into accurate cost recommendations. You will interpret GD&T and military specs, build BOMs, and support bid decisions while collaborating with engineering and procurement teams.

Readings, should-cost models, and CAD support are key, as is communicating complex concepts clearly to stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical discipline.
3+ years in a full-time technical engineering or supply chain role in aerospace, defense, or a similar hardware industry.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and military and aerospace specifications.
Ability to build accurate BOMs from drawings and requirements.
Strong understanding of common manufacturing processes including CNC machining, casting, forging, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and surface treatments.
Working proficiency in CAD.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own BOM development and costing for incoming opportunities.
Break down drawings and requirements into a complete, accurate BOM.
Build and refine should-cost models and pricing inputs to support competitive bids.
Run comparative analysis across suppliers, materials, processes, and build approaches to identify cost-effective options.
Serve as the technical point of contact for post-award execution, supporting sourcing decisions and supplier quality resolutions.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and military and aerospace specifications to assess sourcing options.
Produce CAD as needed to support costing, feasibility, and technical analysis.
Make go/no-go recommendations based on supply chain feasibility, capacity, risk, and strategic fit.
Collaborate with factory engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to validate sourcing strategies before bid submission.
Act as the technical bridge between business operations and Amca's factory engineering and sourcing teams.
Identify supply chain gaps and recommend supplier partnerships or capital investments.
